Mark Lyall Grant, the British ambassador to the UN, speaking on behalf of his country, France and Germany, condemned Israeli settlements in the West Bank. “They are illegal under international law,” he said.
Susan Rice, the US ambassador to the UN, told council members that the veto “should not be misunderstood to mean we support settlement activity”.

The Palestinians are 100% responsible for their situation. Israel has been at the peace table for decades and out of Gaza for years, and the West Bank many many years.
So, the Palestinians need to get their game going for a change instead of stuck in potty training stage seemingly indefinitely.
When I read these rants I feel the person writing this should do the world a service and ruin his keyboard with their forehead, like muslims bang their head on roads in some advanced Islamic celebration.

Operation Cast lead was RETALIATION for Palestinian terrorist attacks on innocent Israelis, and the Palestinians were warned to stop the terror over and over, and the Palestinians refused to. Basically, the Palestinians had asked for it, and dearly deserved every bomb the Israelis dropped on them.
Moreover, the Palestinians were seen launching rockets from in or near schools and mosques, and this turned those buildings into legitimate military targets. In effect, the Palestinians begged Israel to kill them, wherever the Palestinians might be.
It wasn’t “collective punishment,” it was a war of self-defense, and everybody knows it, which is why nobody is trying to stop Israel from defending itself. Nor is anybody doing business with Palestine, because Palestine is a terrorist State, and everybody knows THAT, too.
Your guys started a war and lost. Get over it.
I will have sympathy for the Muslim cause when and if they apologize for 911.
